You only need to enable dither when reducing bit depth in your export (e.g., a 24-bit source file that will be exported at 16 bits). For complete control over your dithering options, open the Dither module. It can be accessed by clicking on the button located just below the Mono and Swap buttons underneath the Master Input/Output section.

De-hum is designed to remove low frequency buzz or hum from your audio file. Hum is often caused by lack of proper electrical ground. This tool includes a series of notch filters that can be set to remove both the base frequency of the hum (usually 50 or 60 Hz) as well as any harmonics that may have resulted.

Quality assurance
Before you send it off for distribution, listen back to the entire file multiple times on different systems to ensure it sounds great in different environments.
A subtle but important fix users have been asking for, you can now “text scrub” in Ozone 9 just like in previous versions. This is useful if you want to make small adjustments to the gain of an EQ node and not change its frequency, or vice versa. The controls “lock” in place when you’re adjusting, keeping your field of view clear while evaluating your moves.
Catalina support!
If you’re intending to update to Mac OSX Catalina, rest easy knowing that Ozone 9 is now fully supported therein. Happy mastering!
